Our lithium battery team is trying to convert 220T diesel-powered mining dump trucks into purely electric dump trucks

In order to help Chinese mines to realize OHV electrification, We cooperated with Li-ion battery factory to research and develop the feasibility of transformation from diesel to electricity project for large-tonnage mining dump trucks.

At present, we have successfully realized the pure electrification of 130T and 220T dump trucks, which are expected to be officially put into use in mines in the end of 2024.

Experts replace engine, generator and converter with Li-iron phosphate battery and use BMS system to connect the battery pack with the mining truck, they will also design charging piles according to the characteristics of different mines, which can realize four charging heads charging for a truck at the same time. According to Mr. Huang, engineer of lithium-iron battery and incharge of the project, it only takes 40 minutes to fully charge a 220T dump truck using their charging pile, which allows the dump truck to work continuously for 7 hours.

Realizing green production in mines is a common goal all over the world, and this lithium battery team plans to start researching and developing the 320T dump truck oil-to-electricity conversion project this year.
